Sensae. This new system activates the motors without pressing any buttons. Just by bringing your hand close to one of the arms of the chair, the motor starts.

Plain and simple, we must no longer look for the button on the interior part of the seat, or on the outside part of the armchair. This way, we also eliminate the possibility of dirtying the fabric or leather around the buttons. It is not even necessary to touch the arm, just by approaching the hand the mechanism is activated.

Sensae is a new system patented by Fama to activate the motors of reclining armchairs without pressing any buttons. By means of sensors placed on the two sides of the armchair and just by approaching the hand, without touching the arm, the relax mechanism is activated.

But this is not all. All these movements can also be activated from a new mobile App created entirely by us. Among its functionalities, it will allow us to open the relax and close it easily from our smartphone... and much more!

At the moment, the mobile app is only available for Android devices.

One of the most important reasons why we have developed this App is to give a solution to thousands of parents who have recliners at home and are worried about possible accidents that may occur to their young children. With the new App we can easily block the recliners, avoiding misfortunes.

Just by bringing your hand close to one of the arms of the chair, the motor starts. We use a simple system: approaching the right hand on the outside of the arm, the recliner begins to open, and separating the hand, the relax stops in that position. To close the recliner, we bring the left hand closer to the outside of the left arm.

All these movements can also be activated from a new mobile App created entirely by us.

In addition, we offer two different levels of use in the App: the “Basic” mode, which only includes the commands to open and close, management with one or two hands, and recliner blocking. And a second mode, called “Expert”, in which we have added many more features. It will allow us to record preferred positions, so that it opens to the “watch TV” or “nap” position without activating it with our hands; but perhaps one of the most interesting features is the “Alarm clock” function. Who has not woken up two or three hours later, when initially wanted to have a 30- or 45-minutes nap? With the “Alarm clock” mode, the app will show us a countdown clock, where we can program in a simple and intuitive way that the recliner closes in 30, 40, 50 minutes, from the moment it is activated.
